May Bumps:Churchill College Women's First VIII started 7th and finished 5th. That is the highest finish position for the women since 1994 and for the club since 1998.
MATLAB DocMaker: I released a new tool for generating MATLAB toolbox documentation from Markdown documents and MATLAB scripts, available on File Exchange and GitHub.

Work
I studied mechanical engineering at the University of Sydney before moving to the University of Cambridge in 1996. I worked on active suspension systems for commercial road vehicles under David Cebon and received my Ph.D. in 2001. After completing my studies, I joined MathWorks, where my current role is Engineering Director for Northern Europe.

I took up rowing at Churchill College and was a member of the First VIII in the late 1990s. A highlight was reaching 5th place in the 1998 Lent Bumps — a College men's record. After graduation, I competed for Cambridge '99 and later Rob Roy. Now retired, I continue to coach Churchill women's crews, and have served as President since 2022. I also enjoy hiking and cycling, and watching sports including motor racing and biathlon.
